Worship lies at the heart of our community's life. It is the beginning and end of all that we do.
The word ‘worship’ comes from the same root as the word ‘worthy’. God is the source of all life and love, and so we respond by offering our praise and thanksgiving for all that we receive from God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
For Christians, the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the first day of the week means that Sunday is the principal day on which we worship. By starting the week with worship of God, we pray that all the other aspects of our lives will be directed towards him.
