BSL HERITAGE WORKSHOP: THE POETRY OF WORLD WAR ONE
Join us for a special heritage workshop to explore the poetry of the First World War with Ismael Mansoor, the British Deaf Association's Poet Laureate for 2024.
Participants will get to work with Ismael in the translation of famous WW1 poems into BSL. Ismael will also present his own poem, inspired by the stories of the deaf community during the conflict and the war's iconic symbols. This will be an event conducted fully in BSL.
The workshop starts at 6:00 pm and will last approximately 1.5 hours.
