If you volunteered to read you will find the text on the website under the relevant day. You will read the lesson. The clergy read the gospel.
When you read please announce the reading: 'A reading from ...'. You do not need to say the chapter and verse, just the name of the book or letter from whifch you are reading.
At the end say: 'This is the word of the Lord.' The congregation responds 'Thanks be to God.'
The microphone should be on. Please take care to speak neither too loudly or softly. Do practice beforehand if you wish. If you have any questions about pronunciation please talk to Fr Gerald.
