Ther theme this week is Giving and the church begins its new liturgical year. Sunday 29 November is Advent Sunday. Advent is the season of thinking about the coming of Christ. John the Baptist, the cousin of Jesus was the one who gave his life to prepare for the greatest gift of all - Christ the Lord.
